Longwood Gardens Entrance Closure
From Tuesday 1 December the main vehicle and
pedestrian entrance into Clayhall Park, located at Longwood
Gardens, will be closed for approximately two weeks whilst work is
taking place to re-model the entrance gates. There will be
sign posts at the entrance with clear information where the four
alternative entrances are located.
There will be no vehicle access during the week and vehicles are
excluded from the park Monday to Friday. There will be access at
the weekends for sports clubs via Lord Avenue.
Clayhall park is a mature well-landscaped park set in the heart
of one of Ilford's premier residential areas.

The park is open from 8am to dusk throughout the year.
For more details of exact closing times please download a copy
of Parks Closing Times under related pages or alternatively please
check time boards at the entrance.
Weather permitting, Clayhall Park Café and Ice Cream Parlour is
open 7 days a week 10.30am-7pm (earlier in winter months when the
park closes at dusk).

Other Park information
There is a formal rose garden, pagoda and an impressive
avenue of mature horse chestnut tress.
Complete with a small maze with wheelchair access, the
Rose Garden provides beautiful scenery and a relaxing escape from
the rest of the park.
Clayhall Park has two adjacent play areas – one for younger
children and one for older children.
