The outdoor classroom
Are you doing enough to get your students outdoors? Did
you know that outdoor learning can help to motivate and stimulate
young minds? Did you know there is a place in Redbridge that
allows you to do this?
The London Borough of Redbridge’s Nature Conservation Ranger
Team has launched a new outdoor education programme for
KS1 and 2.
We have the following two resources available for your bright
young minds:
- The Claybury Education Pack
- This is a learning pack which includes a story CD. The
resource can be used in Claybury Woods, your local park or school
grounds. Each school in Redbridge is entitled to copies of the
pack.
- Ranger Activity Packs - The
Rangers are now based at the brand new James Leal Centre in
Woodford Green. They can offer a Ranger or self led outdoor
education session which is linked to the national curriculum.
Please see the relevant documents below for further
information.
