Have your say in our ultra local discussion forums
The Neighbourhood Matters discussion forums are designed to
provide a safe online channel for sensible, constructive discussion
between neighbours. Registration to the Neighbourhood Matters
forums is free, but we do ask that you abide by our
rules.
Terms of use
When you participate in neighbourhood
discussions, you assign to the council a non-exclusive licence to
use your content on the Redbridgei web site and in any
other communications.
The publishing of any content submitted by the
user is at the discretion of the council and the council expressly
reserve the rights to restrict the publishing of any material for
whatever reason.
To participate in discussions within your local
neighbourhood:
Unregistered users may view neighbourhood discussions, provided
they enter a borough postcode, but will not be
able to post a comment.
- Try to come up with a suitable, short, descriptive, subject
heading for your discussion topic.
- Enter your comment in the ‘message’ box. As long as you
abide by our rules, you may start a discussion about any thing that
matters to you in your neighbourhood.
- Once you have entered your comment, press the submit button and
you will see a confirmation that your discussion was successfully
created.
- You may choose to the filter discussions in the Neighbourhood
Matters forums. You can either view all discussions in your
neighbourhood, discussions you have started, or discussions you
have replied to.
Acceptable Content
The Neighbourhood Matters forums are post
moderated (posts are published immediately and reviewed by our
moderators after publication).
This feature has been developed to allow users
to create topic threads about any manner of issues like:
- local problems
- share your knowledge of local information
- feedback on services you have received
- issues related to the area that you live, that you'd like to
discuss with others
Some of the above are just
guidance/suggestions of what Neighbourhood Matters should be used
for.
Keep up to date
With the latest postings in your
neighbourhood. Once registered, every time you log in to the
site you will be able to see the most recent postings to the forums
in your neighbourhood.
Online safety
- Users under the age of 18 years should obtain the permission of
their parent/carer before registering to use this site.
- Please be aware of the risks associated with publishing
personal information, which may publicly identify your
- home address
- or images which contain location information
- or images of other people without first obtaining their
permission.
