The Cabinet in Redbridge

Cabinet Meetings are generally open to the public, except where
confidential matters are being considered.
How can I speak at at a Cabinet Committee meeting?
If you wish to speak at meetings of the Cabinet Committee you
must inform the Committee Support Officer either by:
- writing
- telephone
- or sending an e-mail by 5pm on the working day before the day
of the meeting that they wish to speak, the subject matter on which
they wish to speak and any specific questions they wish to ask
(contact details can be found on the front of each agenda).
The Cabinet and its Members (also known as the Executive) is
made up of nine councillors. Each councillor
has responsibility and a budget for a key service area such as
education, the environment, housing etc.

There are five
Scrutiny Committees who focus on each of the Cabinet Portfolios
and monitor Cabinet decisions.
