Home Forward Plan

The law requires Redbridge to publicise every key decision that will be made, in advance of that decision being made.

The Forward Plan is produced every month and contains details of the key decisions that will be made over the coming four month period and is then reveiwed and updated on a rolling basis.

A decision taken by the Cabinet, an Area Committee or an Officer is a key decision if:

  • it is likely to result in expenditure or savings, which are significant in relation to the budget for the service to which the decision is about
  • it is likely to be significant in terms of its effects on communities living or working in an area comprising two or more wards; or
  • it seeks to change any part of the Council's Budget and Policy Framework

The Plan gives information about:

  • when those decisions are likely to be made
  • who will make those decisions
  • what consultation will be undertaken
  • who you can make representations to, and how
  • what documents can you ask for and who you can contact for further information.

Also included within the Forward Plan is the Cabinet's work programme which contains non key decisions to be taken by the Cabinet.
