Area Committees
There are seven Area Committees for the London Borough of
Redbridge.
Below are a list of the seven area committees, that are made up
of the 21 wards in Redbridge and links to their agendas, notes of
the meetings and dates of future meetings:
Area Committees can:
- consider and determine local road management schemes
- Consider parks and leisure issues and make decisions
accordingly
- examine environmental issues and monitor local service
delivery, such as street sweeping.
Become a Community Representative
Redbridge Council’s Area 5 Committee (Chadwell, Goodmayes &
Seven Kings Wards) is looking to co-opt community representatives

Apply to an Area Committee for funding
If you would like to apply to an Area Committee for
funding please complete the Area Committee
Funding Application Form (PDF 80.03kb) and return a signed
hard copy to the
Area Committee Secretary
Each area committee has an annual discretionary budget that can
be used to promote the economic, social or environmental well being
of their area.
Local groups, organisations and individuals can apply to their
local area committee for funding of projects, schemes or the
purchase of goods and services that seek to improve the quality of
life for people who live or work in Redbridge.

How can I participate at meetings?
Each Area Committee allows public participation in the following
ways:
- By providing a period of time at the start of the meeting to
hear issues of a local nature; and
- By inviting comments and/or questions on the items of business
as the meeting discusses each agenda item.
If you wish to participate, please contact the Area
Committee Clerk by email or telephone to register to speak (contact
details can be found under each Area Committee).
Alternatively, just turn up at the meeting and advise the
Committee Clerk of your intention to speak.
