Register to vote
If you would like to vote in an election, you need to be
registered to vote. If you are unsure as to whether or not
you have registered or have any related questions then please
call below. Once registered, you will be able
to vote in all elections in which you are entitled to.
If you havent registered to vote
and wish to vote in the Mayor for
London election on
the 3 May 2012 you will need to have registered
to vote by 18 April.
Who can register to vote?
You can register to vote if you are:
- a British Citizen
- a Commonwealth Citizen (list
of these countries)
- a citizen of the Republic of Ireland or
- a citizen of a Member State of the European Union - list
of these countries ( EU citizens cannot vote at UK
Parliamentary elections)
- you are or will reach the age of 18 during the life of the
Register - a new Register is published on the 01 December each
year.
The 2012 Register of Electors was published on 9 January 2012
and contains information about who has registered, again you will
need to call us if you want to know if you are on that
register.
