DATE OF THE POLL
1. In the event of a contect, the date
of the poll will be Thursday, 3 May 2012
NOMINATIONS PAPERS AND PARTY LISTS
2. Nomination papers for the Mayor and London Members of the
London Assembly may be obtained from the office of the Greater
London Returning Officer, City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London, SE1
2AA during normal office hours
DELIVERY OF NOMINATION PAPERS AND PARTY LISTS
3. Completed nomination papers for the Mayor and London Members
of the London Assembly must be delivered to the Greater London
Returning Officer City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London, SE1 2AA on
any weekday from the date of this notice between the hours of
9.30am and 4.30pm, but no later than noon on Wednesday 28
March 2012.
PAYMENT OF DEPOSITS
4. The deposit for each Mayoral candidate is £10,000 and for
each party list or individual candidate in the election of London
Members, the deposit is £5,000. Payment can be made by cash,
bankers draft (banks operating in the UK only) or by electronic
transfer into the GLA Income Account (Royal Bank of Scotland - sort
code 16-00-38, account number 00780445). Cleared funds must be
received by the closing time and date for nominations.
POSTAL AND PROXY VOTING
5. Applications to vote by post or to change existing postal or
proxy voting arrangements must reach the relevant Electoral
Registration officer in the borough where the elector is registered
by not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18 April
2012.
6. New applications to vote by proxy must reach the relevant
Electoral Registration Officer in the Borough where the elector is
registered by not later than 5pm on Wednesday 25 April
2012.
7. The Deadline for new applications to be received by the
Electoral Registration Officer to vote by proxy on grounds of a
medical emergency is not later than 5pm on Thursday 3 May
2012.
