Home Whistleblow scheme

All of us at one time or another have concerns about what is happening:

  • at work
  • within a particular organisation
  • within the community.

Usually these concerns are easily resolved. However, when they are about serious malpractice like financial irregularities, dangerous working conditions, discrimination or fraud, it can be difficult to know what to do.

Use our online Whistleblow form

You can now report your concerns using our Whistleblow online form here.

Boy blowing a whistle

You may be worried about raising such issues or may want to keep concerns to yourself, perhaps feeling that it is none of your business or that it's only a suspicion. You may feel that raising your concern would be disloyal to colleagues, managers or the organisation.

You may decide to say something but find that you have spoken to the wrong person or raised the issue in the wrong way.

As an Authority we would rather that you felt able to raise your concerns, in confidence, at an early stage so that they can be looked into. The whistleblow scheme enables you to do this.

The publication on this page, which can be accessed via the link below, will tell you about the scheme and the procedure to follow if you have a concern that you wish to raise.
