Your views are important to us

Redbridge Council recognises the importance of customer feedback and welcomes complaints, compliments and comments as a valuable form of feedback about its services and performance.  Complaints form

We want to make it easy for customers to complain to us if they are unhappy with our services. The Council is committed to using this information to help drive forward improvements.

Who and what can I complain about?

  • anyone dissatisfied with a service they are receiving from us
  • actions or lack of action from Redbridge Council
  • someone acting on the complainants behalf and with their permission, can make a complaint.

Please tell us if you:

  • feel we have treated you unfairly or discriminated against you;
  • feel that our staff have been rude or impolite;
  • are not satisfied with the quality of a service; or
  • feel we have not delivered a service in the time we promised.

We have special procedures for dealing with some complaints about Adult Social Services or the Children's Services. When you make a complaint, we will tell you if we need to deal with it under a special procedure.

Please note that the Council are not obliged to consider complaints about a matter that occurred over 12 months ago.

The minimum information we need in a written or email complaint is:

  • your full name
  • your full address
  • the name of the service that you are complaining about
  • the reason for the complaint
  • what you would like to see done to resolve your complaint
  • your telephone number or email address
  • if you have already contacted an officer within the council regarding your complaint please provide their details

Your complaint should be sent to the service manager for the service you are complaining about. If you do not know who this is, please contact the Customer Contact Centre on 020 8554 5000 or send your complaint to the Corporate Complaints Team.
