Home Ask my Neighbours

Got a question you want answered?  Why not ask your neighbours and select the best answer to share with others in your neighbourhood.  Two men talking over a garden fence

Ask my neighbours is one of our new social networking facilities.  It has been designed to harness the power of the community in problem solving. You simply enter your question and await your neighbours’ responses (within a radius of 1km).  Whether you want a recommendation for a good local restaurant for a special night out, or advice on the best place to take the kids for an after school treat, your neighbours are probably best placed to provide the answers.

Managed by the Redbridge Council for Voluntary Service (RCVS), Ask your Neighbour is also a good place to start if you want to know about community-based support services and voluntary agencies.

Participating in Ask my neighbours

  • You will need to be registered to submit a question.  You can register now, if you need to. If you don't have an email address, find out how you can get one here.
  • You may view all of the questions and answers in your neighbourhood, the latest ones will be highlighted as new.
  • You may also post an answer to the open questions from your neighbours.
  • If you have a question you need answered, simply select ask a question, submit it and wait for your neighbours to answer it.
  • You can then choose the best answer and this will be highlighted for other users.
  • Once you have your answer, select ‘solve the problem’ and this will close the Q &A, so no further answers will be submitted.   Your questions and answers will be published as soon as you press the submit button.

Please note: this feature is not designed to ask questions to the Council. Please use our alternative ways of communicating questions to us.
