About You Choose

You Choose is a budget simulator that encourages you to
consider where savings can be made.
The concept was originally developed by the London Borough
of Redbridge to engage its citizens in the difficult decisions
that may arise from a potential reductions to its revenue
budget.
In partnership with YouGov and the Local Government
Association, You Choose is being made available to other
councils so they can engage their citizens in decisions about
council spending.
You Choose will also provide a permanent data bank. This
will enable councils to update the data as decisions are taken and
budgets change.
This data, minus anything which might identify
individuals, will also be published in its raw format
and will be available either to download or via a live data
feed.
Sending a written response
If you would like to send a written response use the link called
"Suggestions?" in YouChoose or you can send an email to: Conversation2012@redbridge.gov.uk.
You have until Wednesday 29 February.
The Council will consider all responses at Budget Council on 1
March 2012, though any suggestions for saving money received after
that will still be considered for making future savings.
