Local Development Framework
The Local Development Framework (LDF) is a portfolio of planning
documents, individually known as Local Development
Documents.
The LDF delivers the spatial development strategy for the
Borough and builds upon existing local and regional strategies and
initiatives, in particular the Sustainable Community Strategy.

Adopted Development Plan documents
There are currently seven adopted development plan
documents:
Proposals map
The Development Plan Documents are accompanied by a map known as
a
Proposals Map and this shows the coverage of policies and site
allocations.
Other useful documents
Each document has been prepared with a supporting evidence base
and tested against a Sustainability Appraisal to test the effects
the proposed policies against Social, Economic and Environmental
objectives in promoting sustainability.
