The Council’s sustainability requirements for planning applications

The Council requires all proposals to be designed in accordance with the principles of ‘sustainable development’. Get information on the Council’s Sustainability Checklist and statements, BREEAM, the Code for Sustainable Homes. 

 

Renewable energy

Find out what renewable energy technologies are right for your property or development. New developments may be expected to produce up to 20% of it energy demand from renewable energies onsite.
