Climate Week 2012
Climate Week 2012, Britain’s biggest climate change campaign, is
an exciting national occasion th
at offers people the chance to do their bit to protect our
planet. Across the UK, schools, communities and businesses
will be running events and activities to inspire a new wave of
action to create a sustainable future.
To find out more about climate change and what you can do,
£1000 grants for school and community projects
This year, we gave schools and community groups in Redbridge the
chance to apply for a Climate Week grant of up to £1000 to hold an
event to raise awareness of climate change during Climate Week
(12-18 March).
We received some fantastic applications and Redbridge will see
some exciting events take place across the Borough during Climate
Week. See below to find out more.
What's on during Climate Week?
During Climate Week, make sure you get to one of your local
events. There’s something for everyone, from meat free
cookery demonstrations to film showings. Plus, you’ll come away
knowing more about how to do your bit to protect our planet and
help combat climate change.
