Grants and assistance for your home
Making your property more energy efficient does not need to
be an expensive business. Loft and wall cavity insulation are
cost-effective home improvements that do not require huge
investment.
The Energy Saving Trust estimates that the average house could
easily reduce heating costs by 15%.
There are a number of grants available to help you reduce
your energy use, saving you money and helping to tackle climate
change.
London Warm Zone - grants for insulation and
central heating, regardless of your income. They will visit
your home, complete the paperwork for you, and arrange for the work
to be carried out by their approved contractors.

London Warm Front - National Government funded
grants of up to £3,500 for insulation and heating improvements.

Energy Saving Trust -

using their database.
Home Insulation Scheme - the Mayor of London is
running a Cut Price Home Insulation Scheme that includes home
insulation and professionally installed loft and cavity wall
schemes.

Winter Fuel Payments 
A Winter Fuel Payment is an annual payment to help people aged
60 and over with the costs of keeping warm in winter. The
tax-free annual benefit is normally paid from November and
most payments are made by Christmas.

Renewable energy
Low Carbon Building Programme - grants of up to
£2,500 for the installation of renewable energy technologies, such
as solar panels and bio-energy.
