Householder advice
For householders looking
to extend or alter their homes we offer a free drop-in service at
the One Stop Shop. This will usually
answer questions such as "Do I need Planning
Permission?".
It is important to remember
that the work you wish to carry out may also need permission from
Building Control; for advice on this you can contact them on 020
8708 2529 or visit their web page What is
Building Control?
Major and complex
developments
Redbridge offers an advanced pre-application service suited to
the type of proposal and the needs of applicants and developers who
are looking to build new housing units or more complex developments
within the Borough.
The pre-application facility offers very clear advice about
whether the authority will recommend a scheme, changes which can be
made so that a scheme can be recommended and confirmation of what
information will be needed to submit a valid application.
There are five types of application which are listed below;
- Small (1-3 dwellings and non residential <300m²)
- Medium (4-9 dwellings and non-residential up to 900m²)
- Major (10-25 units and non-residential between
1000m²-2000m²)
- Large Major (Over 25 units and non-residential over
2000m²)
- Tender proposals
