Buy a bin for domestic rubbish
The Council can provide you with bin(s) to store your rubbish
in. These bins can be stored either outside or inside your
property and are suitable for storing bin liners full of your
domestic waste.
Payment details

£18.13 plus £2.90 delivery charge (£21.75 total for 1 bin)
If ordering more than one bin, delivery charge is one payment of
£2.90
You have the option to have your bin delivered to your property or
you can come and collect it from Ley Street Depot. Collection
has to be arranged beforehand with the Customer
Contact Centre.
If your bin is to be delivered to your property th
en it will be delivered the following
Monday after it has been ordered. You will need to be home to
sign for it.
What colour is the bin?
We only have bins in black.
How many bags can I get in it?
Typically the equivalent of one black bin liner can fit
comfortably into a bin.
Can I get a discount?
Unfortunately discounts are not offered to anyone for a bin.
Can I have a wheelie bin?
Unfortunately we don't give wheelie bins to domestic
properties as we don't have the vehicles to empty them.
The ones you see at schools and other sites are for commercial
waste only which have special agreements and collection
vehicles.
Can you clean my bin?
Your bin is your responsibility to clean. However, if
you live in a property that has a managing agent then you could
request them to pay for this service which is £7.50 a bin. It
will be up to your managing agent as to whether they want to have
this service.
