Commercial waste collection
Commercial waste can be collected by the Council. Details
of this and how to report a missed collection are below.
When will the Council pick up my waste?
This will be established when you agree your contract terms with
the Council.
Book an extra collections
Please give us a call on 020 8554 5000 to book an
additional collection. There is a charge for this. We
usually collect additional waste around two days after you call and
send you an invoice after.
Report a missed collection
Call the Customer Contact Centre on 020 8554 5000.
Some items may need a special collection by us.
The following is waste that is not
collected as part our commercial waste
collection. This includes:
Recycling business waste
At this time, we do not offer a commercial recycling
collection service. There are companies that can recycle
this waste for you. You can find these on the Waste
Directory. You can also give us a call on 020 8708 5000
to discuss recycling options. Or you can take business waste
to
Jenkins Lane Reuse and Recycling.
Why was my collection missed?
We do our best to collect all commercial waste in line with
your agreement. However in the event of a collection being
missed there is usually a reason behind it. For example:
- blocked access to your bin often by another vehicle
- the bin(s) wasn't put out in time
- if there is more rubbish than agreed to in your contract, then
the excess waste may be left
- bags not being correctly secured or overfilled
How can I prevent missed collections?
You can prevent your collection being missed by:
- putting your waste out before 6 am
- putting it in an accessible location
- stick to your agreed amount of waste
- didn't overfill your waste container/bin.
- keep your rubbish bags tied
