How can I renew my parking permit?

My parking permit has been lost or stolen.  How can I get a replacement?

  • If a permit has been lost then a new application will have to be made and you will be charged the full permit rate;
  • If a permit has been stolen, a replacement can be ordered, as long as we are supplied with a valid crime reference number and details of the issuing police station.  The replacement permit will show the same expiry date as your previous permit.  You are required to pay an administration charge of £10.00 for this service; 
  • Download a replacement form for stolen permits (PDF 153Kb).
  • Call  020 8708 3636 to receive a form;
  • Pick up a form from the One Stop Shop at Lynton House in Ilford.

I have changed my address, name and/or vehicle.  Do I need to inform you?

Yes.  You will need to:

Important:  You must never alter your existing permit.  Any alterations made will make the permit invalid.  There maybe a charge associated with the change (usually £10)

You must complete the form if:

  • You have moved into a different house within the same controlled parking zone;
  • Moved into a different house within another controlled parking zone;
  • Have changed your name;
  • Changed your vehicle.

What if I want to cancel my permit?

If you cancel your permit you will be entitled to a refund for every full month remaining on the permit.  To cancel the permit you must return your permit:

  • In person at the One Stop Shop;
  • By post to Parking Management (Permits), Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1NY.

You will also need to download a refund form (PDF 153Kb).  We will then send you a cheque for the remaining full months left on the permit.
