Redbridge has one major facility where you can dispose your
domestic waste. The Redbridge Reuse and Recycling Centre
or Chigwell Reuse and Recycling Centre is often known to
locals as 'The Dump' or 'The Tip'. The Tip is neither
owned or run by Redbridge Council, its managed by Shanks East London. The
site does not accept business waste.

- Open week days: Monday to Fridays 7.30 am to 4.30 pm
Open Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 8 am to 4 pm
- Not open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day.
You must now show ID when you visit the site
All residents of the East London Waste Authority boroughs
(Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Newham) are entitled
to use Chigwell Road RRC to tip their household waste. In
order to tip your household waste free of charge please bring along
a driving license or a recent Council Tax bill as
proof of address.
Please note at present it is not possible to visit the site
on foot due to health and safety reasons.
