British pound signResidents across Redbridge have until 12 July to act to be in with a chance of winning a £25,000 prize.

Pay your council tax bill by Direct Debit 

All they need to do to be entered into this life changing prize draw is sign up to pay their council tax bill by Direct Debit before 5pm on Thursday 12 July 2012.

The council tax prize draw promotion is being run by 17 London local authorities and Bacs Payment Schemes Ltd (Bacs), the not-for-profit organisation behind Direct Debit. 

Councillor Ian Bond, Cabinet member for Resources said,
“Direct Debit is a much cheaper way for us to process payments and the money we save can be used for the benefit of local residents. Switching also helps residents to budget and we’re encouraging as many people as possible to switch to Direct Debit and be in with the chance of winning the £25,000 prize."

How to enter

To enter Redbridge residents must register to pay their council tax bill by Direct Debit before 5pm on Thursday 12 July 2012. They can simply sign up to Direct Debit on Redbridge i at or set one up over the phone by calling 020 8708 5670 or return a completed  paper Direct Debit Instruction to Redbridge Council.
 
Residents who already pay their council tax bill by Direct Debit will be entered into the prize draw automatically. 

Last year’s £25,000 prize was won by a Southwark resident, while in 2010 the winner lived in Haringey. This year’s winner will be drawn on Tuesday 17 July 2012.
