Residents aged 18 to 24 can get all the latest information on
jobs, training and volunteering opportunities at a special fair
next week.
The Work Redbridge Opportunities Fair takes place on Thursday 12
July from 11am to 4pm at Redbridge Town Hall, Ilford.
The fair builds on the success of the annual Work Redbridge Jobs
and Training fair and is focussed on support relevant to young
people including information on graduate schemes, apprenticeships
and long term careers advice.
Companies and organisations confirmed for the fair
Exhibitors will be promoting current vacancies, providing career
information and giving advice on training courses or other
recruitment options. Companies and organisations already confirmed
for the fair include Boots, Sainsbury’s, London City Airport,
Crossrail and The Prince’s Trust.
There will also be a range of other work
related support including:
- CV advisors on hand with top tips on how to write a CV
- Taster sessions offering practical demonstrations in courses
including hair and beauty, plumbing and plastering and IT
- Careers advice from the National Careers Service
- Advice on specific courses or training available from
providers
- Workshops on interview help, graduate schemes, how to start
your own business and apprenticeships
The fair is one of a number of projects organised through Work
Redbridge, which aims to help job seekers get help and access to
the latest job, training and volunteering opportunities as well as
careers and skills advice. The project also delivers weekly
outreach sessions across the Borough. The annual Work
Redbridge jobs and training fair for residents of all ages will
take place in September this year.
Work Redbridge is one of a number of projects the Council and
its partners delivers to help residents get the support and skills
they need to find work or training.
