The Work Redbridge Opportunities Fair takes place on Thursday 12 July from 11am to 4pm at Redbridge Town Hall, Ilford.

The fair builds on the success of the annual Work Redbridge Jobs and Training fair and is focussed on support relevant to young people including information on graduate schemes, apprenticeships and long term careers advice.

Companies and organisations confirmed for the fair

Exhibitors will be promoting current vacancies, providing career information and giving advice on training courses or other recruitment options. Companies and organisations already confirmed for the fair include Boots, Sainsbury’s, London City Airport, Crossrail and The Prince’s Trust.

There will also be a range of other work related support including:

  • CV advisors on hand with top tips on how to write a CV
  • Taster sessions offering practical demonstrations in courses including hair and beauty, plumbing and plastering and IT
  • Careers advice from the National Careers Service
  • Advice on specific courses or training available from providers
  • Workshops on interview help, graduate schemes, how to start your own business and apprenticeships

The fair is one of a number of projects organised through Work Redbridge, which aims to help job seekers get help and access to the latest job, training and volunteering opportunities as well as careers and skills advice. The project also delivers weekly outreach sessions across the Borough.  The annual Work Redbridge jobs and training fair for residents of all ages will take place in September this year.

Work Redbridge is one of a number of projects the Council and its partners delivers to help residents get the support and skills they need to find work or training.
