Redbridge Environmental Action Plan out for consultation

The Council is reviewing the Redbridge Environmental
Action Plan (REAct), the environmental strategy for the
Borough. Redbridge residents and organisations are encouraged
to provide feedback and suggestions by 18 October 2010.
The updated document incorporates actions by other key
organisations including the Police, the Fire Brigade, NHS Redbridge
and local community groups and shows how the Council and its
partners intend to work together to make Redbridge a cleaner,
greener and more sustainable Borough.
The Action Plan focuses on five key areas
- Sustainable buildings and transport
- Climate change
- Natural environment and heritage
- Waste and recycling, pollution and clean streets
- Partnerships and communication
The draft REAct document can be downloaded on the
Environment page of Redbridgei or you can view a copy at your
local library.

suggestions to sustainability@redbridge.gov.uk
