Renew and reserve library items

Library Items

You can renew items 10 times before you have to return them to a library. Although your renewals may be limited if you have charges on your items. You can renew:

books up to three weeks
DVDs up to one week (at a charge)
Music CDs up to three weeks (at a charge)
Audio Book sets up to three weeks (at a charge)

Renew and reserve online

Use the online catalogue to renew or reserve your items online. You will need your library card barcode number and PIN to do this.

At your local Redbridge library

You can take either your books or your library card to any Redbridge library for renewal. It is better to renew your items a couple of days before the due date to reduce the risk of overdue charges.

By telephone

Call 020 8708 5830 (must be during Library opening hours) and quote your library card barcode number. We will renew them while you wait and give you a new return date.
