So much more to do at your local library than just read
books!
Bookstart book pack and Bear clubs
Bookstart is a nationwide programme that gives
away free book packs to children under 4 years old with
the aim of promoting a lifelong love of books.
Bearclubs are fun and engaging clubs for children under five and
their families to explore stories, books and rhymes together.

Bookeroonies
Come and help choose books for your library and take part in a
free craft activity. For further information and to book your
place, phone the appropriate library.

Chatterbooks
Fun reading group for children age 6 to 12 years old. If you
like reading, want to talk about books and make new friends,
check out your local chatterbooks club
and join us in the fun.

All levels of players welcome. for children aged between 5 and
14 years old.

Family Learning
Bring your family to the libraries this spring for some fun
learning together. Maximum of two children per adult. Please book
your ticket in advance as places are limited and note that
attendance is required for all 5 weeks.
This event is being organised by the Redbridge Institute of
Adult Education in partnership with libraries.

Homework Help Clubs
Come to the library to do your homework and our staff
will explain to you how to find and borrow the books that you
need; so do not be afraid to ask!

Story Time for under 5's
Set in cheerful, bright and safe surroundings, toddlers and
pre-schoolers are in for a treat with weekly story time
and rhyme time sessions.

Summer Reading Challenge
This is the biggest reading initiative in the country for
children aged 4-11. It runs throughout the summer holiday with
incentives, activities and events designed to create a real buzz
around children's reading.
