Volunteering Opportunities Programme
Volunteering is increasingly important for local communities as
a way of encouraging people, from a broad range of backgrounds,
interests and experiences, to work together towards a common goal
and put something back into their local community.
Vision - Redbridge Culture and Leisure have produced a
guide for Redbridge residents, of all Cultural and Leisure
volunteering opportunities that are available within Redbridge.
Volunteers help with some of our leisure services and in the
build up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games where there will
be more opportunities to volunteer.
Benefits to volunteers include:
- gaining new skills
- improving existing skills
- boosting confidence
- meeting new people
- helping the wider community.
It is hoped by regularly volunteering, residents will get a
greater chance of being able to volunteer at the 2012 Games.
