Hire a sports pitch

For one off bookings for Cricket and Football, at least 5 full days notice is required. 

To book a pitch or if you require further information please contact Vision - Redbridge Culture and Leisure.

For Ashton Playing Fields contact them direct and for Cricklefields please contact Fullwell Cross Swimming Pool.

Would you like to improve your fitness and enjoy the facilities of some of Redbridge's parks and open spaces?

If so, the Sport & Health Team have organised a range of sports sessions for adults as detailed below:

Tennis coaching - pay as you go

Redbridge Tennis League

The Redbridge Tennis League is encouraging people to play more friendly competitive tennis at their local tennis courts.  Whether you are a beginner at tennis, a weekend warrior or an advanced player, adult players of all standards are invited to join the Redbridge Tennis League.

This includes playing at all tennis courts in parks and open spaces within Redbridge and at the Redbridge Tennis Centre. 

Circuits class - Free

Adults (16 yrs plus). Free class using the outdoor gym equipment
Park Day Time
Ashton Playing Fields, Woodford Bridge  Monday 9.15 am to 10.15 am
Ray Park, Woodford Green Saturday 10.30 am to 11.30 am

Valentines parkrun - Free

Free weekly timed 5k runs
Park Day Time
Valentines Park, Ilford (near Melbourne Field) Saturdays 9 am
  • Register once via parkrun.com at least 24 hours before your first run. For more information call 020 8708 0954 or visit the parkrun website.

Permanent Orienteering Courses

Cost £1 per map. Use the map to navigate the course

Fairlop Waters Country Park 7 days a week from the Bar at Fairlop Waters or from the Outdoor Activity Centre
Hainault Forest Country Park 7 days a week from the Visitor's Centre (Monday to Friday)

Outdoor table tennis

These tables are located in Clayhall Park near the Lord Avenue entrance and are free to use to play table tennis. There is no need to book - just turn up and play.
