South Park (map) South Park Road, Ilford, Essex, is
an Edwardian park with most of its original features including
a lake.
The park has an abundance of large mature trees and shrubs that
is very popular with strollers and joggers who enjoy the mature
surroundings.
There is also a large wildlife population that feed off the
flora that this park provides.

The park is open from 8 am to dusk throughout the year.
Park updates
- The basketball facility has benefited from a deep surface clean
and the lines remarked providing a much more refined surface in
which to use and enjoy.
- The tennis facility has benefited from a new playing surface
and the lines remarked providing a much more refined surface in
which to use and enjoy.
- New Wildlife Education and Information Centre has been created
in what was once known as the “Old boat house” and had its grand
opening on the 17 July 2011. This is managed through
partnership with local stakeholders and the active user group of
South Park known as the South Park User Group (SPUG).
