The park is open from 8am to dusk throughout the year.

There is also a formal Rose Garden to the South of the
recreation ground towards the Penrith Road entrance where park
users can enjoy a picnic, rest and just admire the colourful and
vibrant roses in this area.
Hainault Recreation Grounds is also home to one of
the few Skate Parks in the Redbridge together with a
Cycle Circuit and Children's Play Area. The play
area is fully equipped with climbing apparatus and swings.
Local children decided a new zip wire and basket swing were
needed to liven up play in this area and these are now located near
to the skate/BMX park.
This area is also popular with dog walkers who take full
advantage of the large expanses of grass.
