Torch Relay
It has now been officially revealed the flame will visit
Redbridge on 22 July 2012, only one week before the Games
begin.
We are planning lots of exciting activities and celebrations for
the day, supported by official partners – Coca-Cola, Samsung and
Lloyds TSB who will also be attending.

It promises to be an exciting day for all the family so mark
22 July 2012 in your diary and keep checking
this page for updates.
Lit in Greece, the Olympic Flame will arrive in the UK on 18 May
2012.
The Olympic Flame will travel to within an hours
distance of 95 per cent of people living in the UK, Isle of
Man, Guernsey and Jersey during the 70 day Olympic Torch Relay.
It will enable local communities to shine a light on the best
their area has to offer, from breathtaking landscapes to dynamic
urban areas.
Torch Relay film
Watch an
animated film showing some of the spectacular landmarks around
the UK that the Olympic Torch will travel to.
Torchbearers
Representing peace, unity and friendship, the Flame will be
carried by 7, 300 inspirational Torchbearers during the
Olympic Torch Relay.
Carrying the Olympic Torch is a once in a lifetime opportunity
and is a great way to involve local people.
LOCOG invited the public to vote for local heroes to become
Torchbearers and there were many worthy candidates put forward from
Redbridge. The torchbearers have now been selected.
