Westwood Recreation Ground
Westwood Recreation Ground is located in the Seven Kings area of
Ilford. It is a medium sized recreation ground that enjoys a
children’s play facility, and a rigid terrain for the active park
user or walker.
There is a small stream running through the
park that compliments the area and also encourages the wildlife
population to increase.
There are a lot of mature trees within this
area and it makes for a perfect setting when enjoying a leisurely
stroll.
Westwood Recreation Ground is due
to receive a £60,000 grant in 2010 from Department of
Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to improve the play facility
within this park. In April 2009 there was a consultation
meeting that took place to gage the community’s thoughts including
the children.
The recreation ground is open from 8 am to
dusk throughout the year.
