Our annual festival Inspiration 2011 took place on Sunday 24
July at Fairlop Outdoor
Activity Centre.
This event was to celebrate the run up to the London
2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Event details
The fun began with a spectacular Opening Ceremony taking
place in our Excellence Arena and finishing off with the Tessa
Sanderson Redbridge 10K run followed by a Closing
Ceremony.
With one year to go until the Games begin, this years event
was bigger and better than before, inspiring families
to get involved.

Redbridge 10K Run
The Redbridge 10K, organised by Tessa Sanderson also took place
with great success with over 200 participants! Special
congratulations to our winner Jamal Mohammed. For further

2012 Passport
Visitors to Inspiration 2011 were able to pick up a
2012 Passport and take part in 12 activities and collect
stickers for each completed activity. Once the
passport had been completed with the twelve stickers the passport
was then entered into a prize draw.
London 2012 Open Weekend
Inspiration was a part of the London 2012 Open
Weekend, which took place from 22-24 July 2011.
Moving into its fourth year, Open Weekend has already enabled
over a million people to take part in sport, arts and cultural
events across the length and breadth of the UK.
