Application process
Primary
Upon receipt, your application will be assessed. We can forward
your information and references on to the headteacher of a school
that has a Main Pay Scale vacancy, where your
skills and/or experience appear appropriate.
The headteacher may contact you to discuss the post and arrange
an interview.
We hold all applications on file and are available for use by
headteachers for one term or until the candidate is either
appointed or informs us they no longer wish to be considered.
Please be assured that even if you do not hear from us
immediately, your application will be put forward for suitable
posts if and when they arise later in the term.
If, however, you see any of our schools advertising a post for
which you think you would be particularly suitable, please feel
free to contact this office to assure yourself that your
application is being considered.
Please note that the general application process is for Primary
MPS classroom teaching only. Specific vacancies, including posts of
responsibility, will be advertised on this website, Jobs and
Recruitment.
Secondary
We are no longer operating a central application system for
secondary experienced teachers.
Vacancies are advertised on our website www.redbridge.gov.uk and in
national publications such as the TES and Guardian. Completed
application forms should be submitted directly to schools as per
individual adverts.

Part-time / job share opportunities
In response to an increasing demand
from teachers, the Redbridge teacher recruitment and retention
service are compiling a separate register of teachers considering
part-time / job share opportunities.
The aim is to improve flexibility for
both schools and teachers.
We will then provide headteachers with
a wider range of candidates prepared to consider part-time and job
share opportunities. Candidates can also be considered for
full-time opportunities simultaneously.
