Major Incident response
The Emergency Planning Unit works with heads of council
services to ensure Redbridge is capable of responding effectively
to a major incident. Each service area has a role to play during an
emergency, in order to maintain critical services and respond to
the disaster at hand.
The council has a predetermined response plan framework,
Redbridge
Major Incident Plan REDMIP (PDF 296KB), which it follows to
respond to and manage any major incident within the borough.
The council currently has a number of specific emergency
contingency plans it has developed which are constantly updated to
keep pace with the ever-changing environment. These contingencies
plans include:
- Flu Pandemic
- Flood Plan
- Reservoir Inundation plan
- Site Clearance Plan
- Rest Centre plan
- Business Continuity plans
