Drugs Intervention Programme
The Drug Interventions
Programme (DIP) is a Home Office and
National Treatment Agency initiative to reduce crime. It's
aim is to help drug-misusing offenders get into effective
treatment, and to provide support to ensure clients stay in
treatment in order to reduce re-offending.
The overarching aim of Redbridge’s
Drug Intervention Programme is to engage substance misusers into
substance misuse treatment services; reduce risks; motivate them
towards addressing their substance misuse; and to act as a gateway
to other substance misuse treatment and support services in order
to challenge and reduce their substance use and their offending
behaviour.
Commisioning:
The Drugs Intervention Programme
(DIP) is
commisioned by the Redbridge safer
communities partnership and run by the criminal justice
intervention team (CJIT).
