The Redbridge Safer Communities Partnership Board is the governing body of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP).

Aims and Objective of the RSCP Board

The responsibilities of the RSCP Board relate to three areas:

  • Delivering sustainable Community Strategy priorities and the Local Area Agreement targets arising from these priorities.
  • Statutory responsibilities held by the Redbridge Safer Communities Partnership Board as a partnership body.
  • Other issues relating to community safety, which may arise, from government policies or other developments.

The RSCP Board has three priority areas

  • To reduce crime and disorder in Redbridge
  • To reduce fear of crime in Redbridge; and
  • To reduce the harm caused by drug and alcohol misuse in Redbridge.

Board Membership

The RSCP Board is chaired by the Borough Commander for Redbridge Police (Detective Chief Superintendent Sue Williams). It comprises those with senior responsibility for delivering sustainable community strategy priorities, LAA targets and national indicator performance.

Voting members of the board include:

  • London Borough Of Redbridge
  • Metropolitan Police Service
  • London Fire Brigade
  • The Primary Care Trust
  • The Metropolitan Policing Authority
  • National Offender Management Service.

Non voting members of the board include:

  • Redbridge Council for Voluntary Services
  • The Crown Prosecution Service
  • Redbridge Magistrates' Court
  • Drug and Alcohol Action Team Strategic Lead
  • National Treatment Agency Representatives
  • Government Office for London Representatives
  • Redbridge Victim Support
  • Redbridge Equalities and Community Council.
