Redbridge Safer Communities
Reducing crime is one of the top priorities for Redbridge
Council and the other organisations, which are members of the
Redbridge Community Safety Partnership.
Crime Reduction
Feeling and being safe where we live, work, socialise and go to
school is crucial to our general feeling of well-being. This
priority highlights the work all partners will be doing to make
Redbridge an even safer place to live and work.
The partnership carries out work in the following areas:
- domestic violence
- hate crime
- drugs and alcohol
- gun and knife crime
- motor vehicle crime
- property crime such as burglary
- road safety
- robbery
- violent crime

Anti-Social Behaviour, Communities and Perception
The Partnership is also involved in reducing anti-social
behaviour, improving community cohesion and work around the
perception of crime, which it understands also has an affect on
peoples feelings of safety.
Community Engagement
The Redbridge Police Community Engagement Group (RPCEG) was
launched in 2007. It is funded by the Metropolitan Police Authority
and administered by Redbridge Council for Voluntary Services
(RCVS).
The aim of the group is to provide constructive input to local
policing and community safety issues, through engaging with the
Police and Local Authority about their performance.
For more information, including dates of future meetings of
the RPCEG,
please visit the RCVS RPCEG
page.
Making a Complaint
Should you feel that local agencies have responded ineffectively
to a reported problem, you can report it using the normal council complaints procedure. Please state that
it is for the notice of the Community Safety Partnership.
