The following schemes are available to help older people and those with mobility difficulties get around more easily:

  • Blue Badge Scheme - parking concessions for disabled people with severe mobility problems who have difficulty using public transport 
  • Mobility Card Scheme - door to door transport service for disabled residents
  • Freedom Pass scheme - free travel on London's public transport and local bus services in England
  • Taxicard scheme - Subsidised door-to-door transport for people who have serious mobility impairment and difficulty in using public transport
