What to expect from a property
If you are successful in gaining a property through the
bidding scheme, you should expect:
- gas and electricity certificates
- property will be in a sanitary condition
- gas or electric cooker points in the kitchen
- cooker, washing machine and fridge space in Kitchen (subject to
layout)
- either a bath or shower.
Properties do not usually include
- carpet/floor coverings - unless otherwise advertised
- white goods, fridge, washing machines etc
- garden maintenance
- satellite dishes (You may not get permission
from the landlord to install one)
- property is unlikely to be decorated, many landlord may give a
decorating allowance.
Things to remember:
- when viewing a property, consider how it can look, not how it
looks
- some properties may have been empty for some time
- we can only let properties that become available
- consider being more flexible in order to be housed faster
- consider other options:, shared
ownership, rent deposit, moving to another area
- we only provide a house, you make it your home
