The Payments, Benefits and Customer Services reception deals with Housing and Council Tax benefit queries, Council Tax billing queries, Business Rates, Welfare Benefits, Debt Advice and Student Support.

Our telephone service provides assistance with Housing and Council Tax Benefit enquiries and Council Tax Billing enquiries.

six large private interview rooms.
telephone translation service that allows us almost instant access to over 140 different languages.

What you can expect from us

a member of staff will “meet and greet” you. This allows us to manage the queue more efficiently. At this point we will establish your query and if we can deal with it there and then, we will.
there is a huge demand for our photocopier so we have got a separate queue for that.
More complex enquiries are dealt with in private interview rooms. We will make appointments if the enquiry is lengthy.
experienced staff, trained to help people with both sight and hearing problems.

Unfortunately we cannot provide toilet facilities but you can speak to a member of staff if you need to use the toilet.
