Other organisations who get funding via London Councils from Redbridge
Redbridge Council gives £886,565 to London Councils who give
this money to voluntary and community organisations to deliver
their services to residents in Redbridge. The organisations
who received part of this money are below:
Safer Communities
- Community Safety Advisory Service provide a new service to
BAMER (Black, Asian, Minority, Ethnic and Refugee), LGBT (Lesbian,
Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) and other disadvantaged groups who
are disproportionately affected by crime in London.
- Ashiana Network provides domestic violence education and
preventative initiatives to help children and young people to
defuse conflict and reduce violence, particularly gender-based
violence.
- ELBWO offers services to women and their children who
have or are experiencing domestic violence or sexual abuse.
- Women and Network provides telephone advice, information and
support to women who have experienced any form of gendered
violence.
- Women in Prison supports and campaigns for women offenders and
ex-offenders.
- Women’s Aid & Refuge provides Freephone 24 Hour National
Domestic Violence Helpline.
Environment
- Consider the Environment promotes energy efficiency, use of
renewable energy & water conservation.
Health, Care and Well-being
- The Mapesbury Clinic provides multi-lingual and culturally
sensitive counselling and psychotherapy service free to refugees
and asylum seekers in the east London Boroughs. To find out more

- The Women's Therapy Centre provides psychotherapy for women by
women who may be suffering from: eating disorders; trauma; domestic
violence; childhood sexual abuse or self-harming.
- Age Concern London provides training tool, campaigns; advice
and development support to the borough Older People's Forums and
provides a range of activities to support individual older people
from particular disadvantaged communities (London-wide: BAME
communities, LGBT older people and disabled older people).
- Stonewall Housing provides supported housing, advice and
advocacy for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities
in London.
Skills and Opportunities
- Clean Break offers arts-based education and training for women
ex-offenders and women at risk of offending due to drug or alcohol
use.
- Communication ID provides
Deaf and Interpreting Awareness Training.
- Free to Air Project aims to address the
under-representation within the cultural sector of artists and
communities from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
- Pathways to Citizenship helps build and develop the capacity of
projects and organizations that work with young Muslims between the
ages of 12-19.
- Sounds Connections aims to increase access to music
opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
