There are 18 secondary schools in Redbridge, six community
including two single sex grammar schools, seven academies, one
foundation, and two faith schools.
Secondary Schools run by Redbridge Council
*These are Grammar schools. Their pupils
are selected based on ability which is assessed by taking
a selection test arranged by Redbridge.
Secondary Schools not run by Redbridge Council
These are admission authority schools which are responsible for
their admissions, waiting lists and appeals. However Redbridge
coordinates school admissions on their behalf.
Primary and Secondary schools
Redbridge schools have published their Local
Offers, which details the additional support available to children
with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). All of
these are available on the Local SEND Offer in Redbridge.

Recent changes in legislation mean that the way Local
Authorities provide support to families and children
with Special Educational
Needs and Disabilities will be reformed as
