Why use eAdmissions - benefits of applying online

It’s the seventh year Redbridge parents and carers will be able to log on to Redbridge i and apply for their child’s school place. More than half of parents and carers applied for their child's school place online last year. The service is quick and simple to use.

Here are just a few benefits for submitting an online application using eAdmissions:

  • It is quick and easy to do
  • It's safe to use
  • There is no risk that your application will get lost in the post
  • You can get text reminders about key dates
  • You will be told if any of your schools also need a Supplementary Information Form (SIF)
  • You can upload and attach supporting documents at the time of making your child's application
  • The system helps applicants check for errors on application forms which means there is no need for an application to be sent back in the post for correction
  • You can get links to education and school websites. You can also access this booklet on the Redbridge Council website
  • The information you add to your online application is automatically saved so that you can work on it at a time that suits you and make changes before you submit your application by the deadline
  • You will get an email confirmation that your application has been submitted

Primary Reception applicants

All applicants will be posted a letter on 16 April 2014.

Online applicants

Online applicants will be sent an email during the evening of 16 April 2014 with notification of a conditional offer and told to wait for a formal letter.

Accept this place via your email offer, by logging into your original eAdmissions account and confirming your acceptance by 30 April 2014. This is very important for those who applied online.

If you cannot remember your login and/or password, you can email admissionsandawards@redbridge.gov.uk instead: it would help us if you typed Accept and the school’s name in the email’s ‘Subject box’ along with your child's application reference.

Paper applicants

For the small number of parents/carers who applied on paper, please confirm your acceptance in writing to us and address it to: Admissions and Awards, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NN.

We strongly advise that you accept a place for your child at the named school in your offer letter, unless you have a firm offer at another school in which case please provide written evidence of that offer, so the place can be offered quickly to the next applicant on the waiting list.

If no acceptance is received by 30 April 2014, the school place may be withdrawn.
