The date of the main test will be
Saturday 13 September 2014. The deadline to
register your child for the Redbridge 11 plus selection test for
Ilford County High School for boys or Woodford County High School
for girls has now passed and registration has closed. The
deadline was 5pm on Monday 30 June 2014.
No late registrations will be accepted for
2015 except for those who previously lived outside
of the common catchment area (CCA) but move into the CCA for these
two schools. Catchment area guidance is provided below.
Redbridge 11 plus selection test PDF documents and documents
required for registration
The proofs required are:
- Proof of date of birth
three current proofs of residence from
the following documents:
- Council Tax 2014/15 details: statements
(mandatory), payment books, slips,
- Utility bills less than 3 months old:
electricity, gas, landline phone – which must show
home phone number.
- Tenancy agreement – NB those with tenancy
agreements will normally be required to provide a copy of their
coverage under the Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme or other
deposit protection as applies to the tenancy showing payment
- Tax credit award notice (TC602) for the
current financial year 2013/14
- UK Driving Licence
- Rent book
- (Plus medical evidence relevant to the child
being tested, if appropriate).
Redbridge 11 plus selection test:
school admission in September 2015
For this September, Redbridge will be making
changes to the 11 plus examination process. This will affect
children who are applying for a place at one of the two grammar
schools to start in September 2015.
For the examination in September 2014 the
tests will be held at Woodford County High School and at Ilford
County High School. Further details on the arrangements will be
published on this website in due course.
The examination in September 2014 will use
test materials from the University of Durham CEM Centre, which
assess pupils’ understanding and application of knowledge and
skills taught in the Key Stage 2 curriculum. The University of
Durham CEM produce a familiarisation booklet to inform parents and
candidates about their selective assessment (11 plus
The booklet includes examples to indicate the
range of skills required to complete the assessment and the manner
in which questions are answered. This familiarisation booklet is
NOT definitive and the inclusion of any question types does not
guarantee that they will be found in the final assessment.
