Where will the test be held?

The test will be held at Woodford County High School (girls) and at Ilford County High School (boys).

Open evenings have been held at the grammar schools, there will be no further opportunity to visit the schools unless an offer is made to your child after 1 March 2016.

The examination board is CEM, University of Durham, which assesses pupils’ understanding and application of knowledge and skills taught in the Key Stage 2 curriculum. CEM produces a familiarisation booklet to inform parents and candidates about its 11 plus selective assessment test.

The booklet includes examples to indicate the range of skills required to complete the assessment and the manner in which questions are answered. This familiarisation booklet is not definitive and the inclusion of any question types does not guarantee that they will be found in the final assessment. Please view the 11 plus entrance test familiarisation booklet 2016 (PDF 1.31MB).
