Home Fireworks registration and licence fees

To apply for a fireworks licence you must hold either an explosives registration or a storage licence.

If you apply at the same time for storage and registration, both fees are payable.

You will not have made a valid application until payment is received by the Council.
Cheques should be made payable to the London Borough of Redbridge.

The fees for explosives licences and registrations with effect from April 6 2010 are detailed below.

For the restricted periods:  
New registration* £105
Renewal of registration  £52
Licence** to store explosives £178
Renewal of storage licence £83
Transfer of a licence or registration £35
Replacement of lost licence or registration £35
Amendment of licence or registration £35
For sale outside any of the restricted periods or year-round:  
Annual licence fee for sale of explosives (new or renewal) £500

* Registration net explosives content of fireworks - up to 250 Kg
**Licensing net explosives content of fireworks - from 250 Kg up to 2,000 Kg.  (These fees are valid until 31st March 2011.)
