Home Redbridge Best Bar None

Best Bar None (BBN) is a national award scheme for licensed premises which recognises and rewards good alcohol management practices.

The award-winning voluntary programme aims to improve safety and security, give public confidence, lower alcohol related crime and encourage excellence in pub and club management.

The scheme encourages licensed businesses to work in partnership with the Council, Metropolitan Police and Fire Brigade to bring their establishment up to high-quality standards set out by nationally recognised criteria.

The Redbridge partnership scheme

Best Bar None was successfully launched in Redbridge in 2011.  The award scheme is achieved through partnership working by the applicants with Metropolitan Police, London Fire Service and the Council’s Environmental Health, Noise/Anti-Social Behaviour, Trading Standards and Licensing Officers. The national framework for the assessment of licensed premises is adapted locally to suit local needs.
