Deal with an emergency
A well designed Business Continuity Plan will allow your
business to deal with an emergency efficiently and
effectively. Below, we set out a brief overview of the major
stepping stones that your business will need to cover in order
to deal with an emergency.
Deal with an emergency key steps
If you have drawn up a good business plan, it should detail: the
key business functions that you need to get up and running and
those members of staff who are responsible for implementing what
can be termed a crisis action plan. There are five basic
planks that need to be in place to ensure a good response.
- React within the first hour
- Ensure your employees use their training
- Circulate key contact details and preferred service
providers
- Ensure that your nominated Press and PR person is in place
within the first hour
- Distribute hard copies of your Business Continuity Plan to all
members of staff
