Business Partnerships

Redbridge Business Partnerships demonstrate effective partnership working between businesses, Redbridge Council, the Police and other voluntary and community sector representatives.

They provide a strong voice for the wealth of diverse businesses, which include restaurants, shops, industrial units, entertainment and leisure activities for the benefit of everyone who works, lives and visits the Borough.

The Business Partnerships cover the major shopping areas of the Borough, each focussing on sustaining and making their town centres attractive, welcoming, safe and accessible.  Below is a list of the current business partnerships:

Business Improvement Districts

The Redbridge benefits from two Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).

Hainault Bid

The first commenced in 2006 for a 5 year term ending March 2011. Hainault BID was credited as being the first industrial BID in the south of England and the Thames Gateway.

During the first five-year term, which ended March 2011, Hainault BID successfully levered in three quarters of a million pounds delivering major enhancements and improvements to the Park, including; security fencing, an enlargement of the CCTV system, landscaping and business support.

In March 2011 Hainault BID achieved a successful 'yes' vote in its renewal ballot. 

Ilford Bid

Ilford Town Centre, the Borough's metropolitan shopping centre, successfully achieved BID status in March 2009 against a climate ofIlford High Street looking East economic uncertainty. Ilford BID delivered significant enhancements to the area with its priorities around the safety and ambience of the town. This has included additional deep cleans and general cleaning to the town, particularly in shop doorways and frontages. A dedicated town centre police team was established to provide the towns shoppers, visitors and businesses with a safe environment making it a pleasant place to visit and enjoy its variety of visiting markets and entertainment.
