Business Partnerships
Redbridge Business
Partnerships demonstrate effective partnership
working between businesses, Redbridge Council, the Police and other
voluntary and community sector representatives.
They provide a strong voice for the wealth of diverse
businesses, which include restaurants, shops, industrial units,
entertainment and leisure activities for the benefit of everyone
who works, lives and visits the Borough.
The Business Partnerships cover the major
shopping areas of the Borough, each focussing on sustaining and
making their town centres attractive, welcoming, safe and
accessible. Below is a list of the current business

Business Improvement
Districts
The Redbridge benefits from two Business Improvement
Districts (BIDs).
Hainault Bid
The first commenced in 2006 for a 5 year term ending
March 2011. Hainault BID was
credited as being the first industrial BID in the south of England
and the Thames Gateway.
During the first five-year term, which ended March 2011,
Hainault BID successfully levered in three quarters of a
million pounds delivering major enhancements and
improvements to the Park, including; security fencing, an
enlargement of the CCTV system, landscaping and business
support.
In March 2011 Hainault BID achieved a successful 'yes' vote in
its renewal ballot.
Ilford Bid
Ilford Town Centre,
the Borough's metropolitan shopping centre, successfully achieved
BID status in March 2009 against a climate of
economic uncertainty. Ilford BID delivered
significant enhancements to the area with its priorities around the
safety and ambience of the town. This has included additional deep
cleans and general cleaning to the town, particularly in shop
doorways and frontages. A dedicated town centre police team was
established to provide the towns shoppers, visitors and businesses
with a safe environment making it a pleasant place to
visit and enjoy its variety of visiting markets and
entertainment.
