Freedom Passes - General information
Both the Older Person's Freedom Pass,
and the Disabled Person's
Freedom Pass enable you to travel for free, at any time*
within the Freedom Pass boundary, on London's public
transport.
This will include:
- Buses
- London Underground
- London Overground
- Docklands Light Railway
- Trams
- National Rail Services*.
*Passes cannot be used on
National Rail Services before 9.30am Monday to Friday, or on
Southern Services between Clapham Junction and Harrow &
Wealdstone before 9am Monday to Friday. There are no time
restrictions at weekends and Public Holidays.
Discounts are also offered on many
Thames Riverboat Services.

In addition, the Freedom Pass allows for travel outside London
on local bus services in England as per The English National
Bus Scheme, outlined below.
English National Bus Scheme
Older and most Disabled Freedom Pass holders
can travel for free on local bus services in England between 9.30am
and 11pm. Disabled people with a Discretionary Freedom Pass cannot
use this service.
